As you plan your own agenda and schedule for DevOps Enterprise Summit Las Vegas, we want to bring one session in particular to your attention.
If you attended our London event in June, you may recall the session, DevOps from an Auditor’s Perspective. It provided such a positive response from attendees that we have decided to take a deeper dive and make it an extended workshop session with a follow-up speaker Q&A in Las Vegas.
Representatives from the ‘Big Four’ auditing organizations will lead the workshop and offer an opportunity for you to (anonymously) ask all of the compliance questions that you’ve been afraid to – during a safe and open, moderated forum.
We want you to leave the DevOps Enterprise Summit understanding not only what it is that auditors do, but how it’s entirely possible (and necessary) to do DevOps in a way that is safe, auditable and compliant.
Who Should Attend?
The short answer is everyone! If you work for a public company, a regulated industry, or a startup supplying B2B services to one of those – then this breakout session is a must-see. If you’re at a B2C startup, this topic may not impact you right now – but it will affect you in the future if you have plans to raise capital or position yourself to be acquired.
Our guest auditor representatives will kick-off their appearances with their panel session where each of the ‘Big Four’ representatives will unpack myths surrounding auditing and compliance. The session will be led by:
- Matt Bonser, Director, Digital Risk Solutions, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP
- Yosef Levine, Managing Director, Global Technology Controls, Confidentiality & Privacy, Deloitte
- Jeff Roberts, Senior Manager, Advisory Services, Ernst & Young
- Michael Wolf, Managing Director Modern Delivery Lead, KPMG
Join the Audit Panel on Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 11:35-12:05 p.m. in The Chelsea
Following the plenary session, the auditors will offer a special breakout session, “Auditors’ Workshop: What You’ve Wanted to Ask an Auditor but Were Afraid to Ask.” This is a unique opportunity for you to anonymously ask burning questions about what is really true when it comes to auditing and DevOps.
The session will be moderated by: Sam Guckenheimer, Product Owner, Visual Studio Team Services, Microsoft, and Topo Pal, DevOps Enthusiast. Each moderator is a passionate leader working to bring automation and auditing together in a way that fosters innovation and compliance.
In a recent video preview featuring Guckenheimer, Pal and Gene Kim, the group discusses the importance of auditors and DevOps practitioners coming together and talking face-to-face – which we are incredibly excited to kick-off this year in Las Vegas.
The Auditors’ Workshop: What You’ve Wanted to Ask an Auditor but Were Afraid to Ask will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 4:55 p.m. – 6:05 p.m. in Mont-Royal 2.
Finally, attendees will have the opportunity to ask 1:1 questions to each of the ‘Big Four’ auditors and clarify lingering questions.
The Auditor’s Workshop Follow up Q&A will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 30 in Mont-Royal 2 from 1:50 p.m. – 3 p.m.
As Guckenheimer succinctly put in the video preview, the hope is that these sessions will allow anyone who is facing resistance against an automated compliance model to leave the DevOps Enterprise Summit with back up from the ‘Big Four’ representatives in the form of a business card or the YouTube recording. It will force important discussions that are needed to eliminate manual processes around compliance and facilitate forward movement.
We are incredibly honored for these ‘Big Four’ auditor representatives to join us in Las Vegas. And we truly believe that these conversations are highly valuable to the DevOps Enterprise Community.
See you next week and happy watching>>>
