#TBT – The Three Ways

By IT Revolution

Hello!

As you may know by now, The Unicorn Project will be released next week on Tuesday, November 26. We are very excited to share this highly anticipated follow-up to the bestselling book The Phoenix Project.
In The Unicorn Project, we once again visit Parts Unlimited, but this time from the perspective of rebel developers and business leaders who work together as they race against time to innovate, survive, and thrive in the marketplace. This book is a story about how a thoughtful, dedicated group of people can have a tremendous, high-value, and meaningful impact on business outcomes.

In the spirit of Throwback Thursday, we wanted to revisit the Three Ways that Gene Kim introduced in The Phoenix Project. In The Phoenix Project, the constructs of the Three Ways and Four Types of Work were introduced to frame some of the important concepts in the book. Similarly, in The Unicorn Project, Gene introduces the Five Ideals to frame what he thinks are the most important problems facing engineering and business today.

Take a look at the original blog post on the Three Ways that resonated with so many readers.
