About the Book: Leading the Transformation

Gary Gruver and Tommy Mouser wrote Leading the Transformation: Applying Agile and DevOps Principles at Scale based on their decades of combined experience leading enterprise-level IT transformations at both HP and Macy’s.com.

According to coauthor Gary Gruver, the book is written as a “quick, easy-to-read guide for executives to learn about the new development approaches and how to lead their organization on a journey of adopting new processes.”

And when asked who the book is written for, coauthor Tommy Mouser stated,

Leading the Transformation was written for executive-level managers in large enterprise organizations. These are the people who set high-level strategy and allocate funding to support the implementation of that strategy. In many cases, these individuals do not come from a software development background. They may have come up through the ranks in marketing, finance, manufacturing, etc. Leading the Transformation was written to give these executives an understanding of how to transform the software development process and what to expect along the way.
